The Sea Raven’s Next Destination…

Captain Blackfin and his crew are studying the charts and searching the Isle of Wight for their next trail. New adventures will appear here as soon as the Captain gives the order to set sail.

Rogues of the Sea Raven

Meet Captain Blackfin’s crew

Every shipmate has a special job aboard the Sea Raven—and each brings their own clues, talents and occasional trouble to the adventure.

Master navigator

Mad Molly

With a compass in one hand and a chart in the other, Molly plots the Sea Raven’s course and makes sure Blackfin’s crew always finds its way home.

First mate

Iron Hook

Blackfin’s loyal first mate is stern, steady and hard to fool. His famous eye patch carries a red jewel said to have crossed every sea.

Cabin boy

Mischief Mick

Mick is a quick-thinking riddle-maker with a talent for hiding clues—and an even greater talent for finding trouble aboard ship.

Mischief Mick’s riddle challenge

Think carefully, young pirate—then tap a riddle to reveal its answer.

Riddle 1I show islands, seas and distant shores, but I have no sand and make no waves. What am I?

Answer: A map.

Riddle 2The more of me you take, the more you leave behind. What am I?

Answer: Footsteps.

Riddle 3I am full of holes, but I can still hold water. What am I?

Answer: A sponge.

Ship’s doctor

Doctor Bones

Clever, calm and prepared for anything, Doctor Bones mixes remedies and keeps every pirate fit enough for the next expedition.

Ship’s cook

Peg Leg Pete

Pete rules the Sea Raven’s galley, serving hearty stews, legendary sea biscuits and a warm welcome after every adventure.

Peg Leg Pete’s alcohol-free grog

Three easy drinks for young pirates. Ask a grown-up to help with cutting fruit and serving ice.

Tropical Treasure Grog

You’ll need: Half a cup of pineapple juice, half a cup of orange juice, a splash of lemonade and a squeeze of lime.

Make it: Pour everything over ice and stir with a wooden spoon. Add an orange slice to make it shipshape.

Apple Deckhand Grog

You’ll need: Three-quarters of a cup of apple juice, a quarter cup of sparkling water and a tiny pinch of cinnamon.

Make it: Mix in a cup, add a few apple slices and give it three good pirate stirs.

Berry Buccaneer Grog

You’ll need: Half a cup of mixed-berry juice, half a cup of lemonade or sparkling water and a few fresh berries.

Make it: Stir gently over ice until the drink turns a fine pirate purple. Drop in the berries as edible treasure.

Ship’s rat

Barnaby

Part treasure-finder and part biscuit-thief, Barnaby can squeeze into the smallest hiding places and sniff out what others miss.

Lookout and messenger

Polly

From high above the deck, sharp-eyed Polly spots distant landmarks, watches for danger and carries Blackfin’s secret messages.

Keeper of the ravens

The Raven Keeper

Guardian of the Sea Raven’s oldest secrets, the Raven Keeper tends the ship’s clever black birds and carries the brass key to mysteries best kept below deck.

Captain’s Log

Entry XXVII

The Sea Raven lies ready, her timbers creaking and her crew eager for the tide. Word has reached me of brave families ashore, sharp of eye and bold of heart. Yarmouth shall test them first—but there are more secrets marked upon my chart, and more shores yet to call.
