1. About the service
Captain Blackfin’s Isle of Wight Treasure Trails provides self-guided family treasure-trail materials in printable and mobile-friendly formats. The first available product is the Yarmouth Treasure Trail.
2. Crew Pass
The introductory launch price of a Crew Pass is £6.99. The normal price will be £8.99, and pricing will be reviewed once at least one local company is supporting the adventure. The price displayed at checkout at the time of purchase applies. Each pass permits a maximum of two registered participants to complete one trail together. A group of three or more participants must purchase an additional Crew Pass. The pass is for the purchasing household or group and must not be copied, resold, shared publicly or distributed to another group.
3. Registration and certificates
Up to two participant names must be entered before the trail begins. Customers are responsible for entering each name exactly as it should appear on the certificate. After the correct completion answer is submitted, each registered participant may generate an individual certificate containing their name, completion date, unique crew number, Captain Blackfin’s signature and a QR code linking to the main website.
4. Digital delivery
After successful payment, the customer will receive access to the private trail and registration journey. Customers may choose the printable pack or the mobile-friendly phone and tablet version. They are responsible for using a compatible device and internet connection and, only when choosing the paper version, a suitable printer.
5. Safety and supervision
The trail is self-guided and not supervised by the operator. Children must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times. Customers are responsible for assessing weather, daylight, accessibility, traffic, harbour and other local conditions. Follow signs, laws and instructions from local authorities. Do not enter private property or unsafe areas.
6. Availability and changes
Routes may be altered, paused or withdrawn when conditions, access or local changes make this necessary. Reasonable efforts will be made to keep customer information current.
7. Intellectual property
All trail content, artwork, characters, maps, puzzles and certificates remain protected intellectual property. Purchase provides a limited personal licence to use the materials for the registered crew’s single trail experience.
8. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded. Subject to that, the operator is not responsible for loss arising from failure to follow safety guidance, unsuitable conditions, unauthorised sharing, or circumstances outside reasonable control.
9. Contact
Questions about a purchase or these terms can be submitted through the Contact page.
