Explore Ventnor’s seafront together, looking for real-world details, solving the captain’s clues and collecting ten secret letters.
Use the letters to crack the final jumble and earn a personalised pirate certificate for each registered crew member.
The mobile trail reveals one clue at a time. The colourful paper pack includes answer squares, Barnaby’s letter markers and a separate adults’ answer page.
For younger crew
Younger crew members will need guidance from a parent or carer to read the clues, work out the answers and rearrange the final letters. Grown-ups are part of the crew too!
Keep the adults’ answers separate and use the hints only as a last resort, after young pirates have had a proper try.
- Bring pencils for paper, or a charged phone/tablet for mobile.
- Wear suitable footwear and dress for the weather.
- Stay on paths, supervise children and take care at roads and the seafront.
- No purchase at the finishing venue is needed.
